SankeyFlow is a native macOS app for building Sankey diagrams — the flow charts that show how a total splits and merges as it moves from one place to another. Budgets, energy use, website traffic, headcount, material flows: if it's a total that divides into parts, SankeyFlow draws it.
It's a real document-based Mac app: autosave and versions, full keyboard control, light and dark, and no network access of any kind. Documents are plain text, so they stay readable and portable.

A flow diagram where the width of each ribbon is proportional to the quantity it carries. It's the clearest way to show where a total comes from and where it goes.
Three ways. Type it, one line per flow: Wages [3000] Budget. Build it visually with a drag-to-reorder list of source, amount, and target — rearranging rows restacks the diagram. Or import a spreadsheet: paste from Excel or Numbers, or open a CSV or XLSX file.
Yes. Flow direction (left, right, up, or down), node width and spacing, ribbon curve and opacity, per-node colours from a hand-tuned palette, names and values on or off, a unit, and a background — all in the inspector.
PNG, PDF, and SVG. Choose an aspect ratio or an exact pixel size, set a resolution, and add margins, with a live preview. The SVG output is clean and standards-compliant, ready for the web or a vector editor.
SankeyFlow documents are plain-text files with a .sankey extension, saved wherever you choose. No proprietary format, no lock-in.

SankeyFlow is a Mac app that runs entirely on your device.
Nothing. SankeyFlow does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. It has no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no user accounts, and makes no network connections.
The diagrams you create are saved as files on your Mac, wherever you choose to save them. If you keep them in iCloud Drive, they sync through your own Apple account under Apple's terms; the developer of SankeyFlow has no access to them. Your app preferences are stored locally on your Mac.
SankeyFlow does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or trackers.
SankeyFlow does not collect data from anyone, including children.
